Saunders got me into Younger Brother, not his Younger brother but the electronic duo formed in 2003 by Simon Posford (best known for his Hallucinogen and Shpongle projects) and Benji Vaughan (Prometheus). Their brand of [lifted this from another review] twisted electronica is hard to pin down as it hints at many genres of electronic music without allowing itself to become pigeon holed. The debut album released on Twisted Records has taken on cult status in the underground electronica scenes around the world with duo drawing crowds in their thousands from London to Tokyo, New York to Australia

Two for your headphones - WARNING! may or may not be enjoyed at a party as i have so cruelly found out :(
I saw Midlake on the BBC footage of Glasto last year and really enjoyed their performance. The harmonies and chord changes have seen them thrown into the unoriginally named "Neo-Progressive" genre. confusing enough anyway but all the same, you would have to be into 70's prog rock to like them. If you like Floyd, Genesis, Yes, Jethro Tull and also enjoy lyrics about the end of days and how terrible we treat our planet then these guys will be right up your street but by then you may no longer live on a street, you may live in a boat or some other seaworthy vessel and breathe through gills at the back of your ears. Their Album is called "The Courage of Others" and the opening track is called "Acts of Man".
